This Term the Year 3 and 4 classes have begun learning the recorder. 

There are many benefits of learning to play the recorder. Some of which include: 

-Development of aural skills for music and listening skills for everyday life 

-Development of hand eye coordination and fine motor skills 

-Learning to read music 

-Learning about breathing an breath control 

-Taking ownership and responsibility for an instrument 

-Self discipline, practice and patience 

-Fun! 

We have been enjoying the challenge of learning the recorder!
