Junior Primary Incursion

Many Junior Primary Students from rooms 1, 3 and 4 had a great time exploring and playing with toys from the past when the Museum of Childhood came for an incursion.

They got to look at various wooden toys that moved by rolling and stacking, played carinal style games such as quoits and target throwing games, enjoyed games that used gravity as well as making sound and music with instrumental toys.

Students were shown how toys and games have evolved and developed over time particularly through the materials they are made from.

All the students had lots of fun rotating through the games and learning how old style equipment worked, recognising similarities and differences to toys that exist today and how children played and were entertained from decades ago.
