In our boomerang painting activity we had  a blast using primary and secondary colours. We mixed  primary colours together to make secondary ones. We made a mark with a handprint, then added fun dots with our fingerprints. It was easy, colourful  and fun for everyone!

The students painted their pinch pots using colours like the ones Aboriginal people use. They used these colours to tell their own stories. Each pot became a canvas, with earthy tones and ochre bringing their tales to life. It was a way for them to share a part of themselves with others through art.

We're inspired by the Aboriginal culture to make coil pots that tell our stories. We use symbols like feathers for family or traditional patterns to decorate them. Each pot we paint carries our own special tale, making it more than just art—it's a piece of who we are.

We had a range of mediums, materials, and tools to bring our Picasso Mixed Media Face to life. We explored various options and experimented with different combinations to craft our masterpiece. Throughout the creative process, we used colours and textures to add depth and richness to our designs. Additionally, we embellished our creations with special details, making each one uniquely ours. It was a journey of creativity and exploration, resulting in extraordinary works of art.

We learned about line, shape, pattern, repetition, and unity to prepare for our Charles McGee inspired collage/relief three-dimensional sculpture. We experimented with cutting out lines and shapes, exploring different compositions. We carefully glued down our pieces onto our base, creating varying levels of depth. Through this process, we practised three-dimensional composition skills and honed our understanding of line, shape, and pattern. It was an enriching experience that allowed us to delve into the creative world of sculpture and collage.

We meticulously assembled our Chinese fans, paying close attention to every detail. We then had the opportunity to enhance them further by cutting out Chinese characters and delicately adhering them to our beautifully crafted fans. Additionally, we adorned our fans with intricate shapes cut from decorative papers, adding an extra layer of elegance and authenticity to our Chinese-inspired creations. It was a creative and rewarding experience that allowed us to infuse our fans with personal touches and cultural flair.
