Principal's Report

By Carolyn Serpell

While we are still enjoying the memory of last week's camp to Wilsons Prom, I would to take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks to our amazing team of adults; Hayley, Naomi, Sophie, Belinda, Jarrod, Tom, Duane and Matt, our bus driver, for all that they did to provide our students with this opportunity and a wonderful experience.  We were also extremely fortunate with the weather, which enabled our students to make the most of the enviroment and not even clouds could stop them from basking in the amazing view at the top of Mount Oberon.  On our last night, we were treated to a great night of entertainment, with a special talent show.  It was a wonderful way to end the camp, seeing our students display courage and confidence to overcome their fear, and to challenge themselves to have a go, just as they had, on numerous times, throughout the camp.

Many thanks to those families who made the time to participate in this week's Parent/Teacher meetings.  If you have not yet had an opportunity to meet with your child's teacher, please contact the school to arrange an alternate time.

Our building works are progressing well, and this week our library was reinstated.  Many thanks to Nicole and Megan for coordinating this and to Alison and Duanne for their help with cleaning the shelves.

Tomorrow, 27 of our students will attend the Division Cross Country running event in Wodonga.  Congratulations and good luck to all these students.  Many thanks also to families for their support with transport and supervision on the day.

Due to the Division Cross Country and large student absences in the upper years, tomorrow's planned assembly has been cancelled.  Years 4/5 will now present in two weeks time.

As part of National Reconciliation Week, tomorrow, students in Years 5 & 6 will have the opportunity to visit the Secondary College to participate in some shared lunchtime art activities, focussing on the theme of reconciliation.

Tennis with Andy and Alison will be held again tomorrow.
