Numeracy

This week our senior student became the teachers. They worked with the junior students to play a Math's game called "Number Tracks". While playing this game the senior students were tasked with explaining and teaching the strategy  of the game which the senior students had used the knowledge of statistics and probability to investigate the week before.

Number Tracks is a fun game that teaches many different mathematical concepts. Students can play this game at home as all they need is:

2 X 6 sided dice

2 X set of 5 same coloured counters (the counters could be anything small)

1 X Number Track (this can just be the number 0-13 written on a piece of paper)

Art

In the spirit of Reconciliation week the students completed some artwork of the Dramtime story "Tidalick to Frog" with Mrs. Bannan. Using a mix of oil pastels and watercolor paints, they vividly depicted Tidalick's journey and the lesson of sharing from the story. Each artwork is a beautiful blend of creativity, cultural appreciation, and environmental awareness.

Outdoor Classroom

Our Art flowed into our Outdoor Classroom the following day, students collected leaves and did leaf rubbings to add to their artwork.

Due to the rain we also did some cooking during our outdoor classroom program. The students loved making and eating scones.
