Principal Report

Mr. Lehane

New Staff

I would like to welcome Ashley Stows and Madeline Langley who will be joining our school in the role of Education Support.

Ashely is studying to become a teacher and is currently in his first year of University.

Madeline Langley who has worked at our school previously is also studying teaching at University.

We are also in the final stages of the recruiting process for a new classroom teacher and will hopefully have an announcement on this position early next week.

Facilities

All work has been completed and we have been back using our existing internal spaces for the past week. Thank you so much to the many staff and parents who have helped moving things around. We are still in the process of signing off the Art Shed and we are expecting to begin using that next week.

School Athletics

Unfortunately due to weather the school athletics have been post-poned Wednesday June 19th.

New permission forms will be sent out on uEducateUs.

Reconciliation Week

This week, from May 27th to June 3rd, we're celebrating Reconciliation Week at our school! Reconciliation Week honors two important milestones in Australia's history – the successful 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision. These events mark significant steps towards recognizing the rights and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

During Reconciliation Week, we come together to learn, understand, and celebrate Indigenous culture, history, and traditions. It's a time for us to reflect on the importance of respect, understanding, and unity as we work towards a more inclusive and equitable future. Let's embrace the spirit of reconciliation and celebrate the diversity that makes our community strong.
