A Message from

Hannah & Keir

“We would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people, the first people to dream, create, wonder, dance, play and learn on this breathtaking land. This land was cared for and respected for tens of thousands of years. The First Nations people lived in companionship with the animals and the life on this land. We acknowledge that this is stolen land and we pay our respects to elders, past, present and emerging.”

2024 School Council

Last Thursday evening, we had our first School Council meeting with our new members. This is the first time in many years that we have had a council that is almost entirely made up of brand new members, and it was wonderful to see and hear everyone’s enthusiasm, wonderings and passion for the school and its students.

In this meeting, we elected new Office bearers. We would like to thank everyone who nominated themselves or someone else, and applaud all those who accepted the nominations.

In the coming weeks, we will profile all of our new council members here in the newsletter, but in the meantime we would like to announce the following Office Bearers;

School Council President: Ann Brennan

Vice President: Jess Borger

Secretary: Sara Webster

Taking Photographs or Video at Assembly

Assembly is a very exciting time of celebration for students who are presenting or those who receive an award. We would just like to remind families to make sure they are not taking photographs or video of any child except their own. In addition, we ask that everyone please check that there are no other identifiable students in any pictures or videos that you might be sharing on social media. This helps to keep our community safe.

At our Friday afternoon assembly, our year 5/ 6 leaders will be reminding everyone of this requirement for anyone who might be caught up in the moment and forget.

Cross Country Date

We know that many of our students have been very keen to take part in the 2024 BNWPS Cross Country, and now that our amazing new P.E teacher Max is starting to settle in to his new job, we are happy to announce that Cross Country will take place on the morning of Friday 7th June. More details will follow in future newsletters.
