From the Leadership Team

On behalf of the Leadership Team, I want to acknowledge the way Term 2 has started with such a positive vibe. This positive energy is not just the result of well-planned and considered initiatives but reflects the open and willing engagement of students in all aspects of College life.
Student Leadership
The Student Executive has been busy organising community events including selling hot chocolate before school and hosting a morning tea in Plaza 1 to thank their Year 12 teachers and mark the occasion of only 100 school days remaining in their year!
They have also helped drive interest in the Ice Bucket Challenge, a Village Fundraising Initiative to raise money Motor Neuron Disease. Mr Baird has thrown his support behind this challenge and the Village with highest fundraising total will have the opportunity of icing the Principal!
Care Group Connection
The Care Group Connection night for students in Year 8, 11 and 12 was held on Monday of Week 2.
Care Group Connection night provides students with an opportunity to purposefully reflect on an aspect of their personal learning journey through the lens of our Vision For Learners Framework, then share their insights with their Care Group Teacher and parents/caregivers as partners in the student’s education.
As well as students showcasing their achievements in a particular area, the evening is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen Village relationships between families and Care Group teachers.
As I moved around the buildings on Monday I was impressed with the passion, engagement, and learning efficacy on display.
Uniform
During Term 2 and 3 the option of wearing the summer uniform is not available and students must wear the formal winter uniform as outlined in the Uniform Expectations which can be found in the TASS Parent Lounge.
This includes the wearing of the College Blazer to and from the College and at formal functions such as Chapel and Assembly.
This document also clarifies expectation for hair styles, shaving, make-up and jewelery.
The Endeavour uniform is well recognised in the local community, so wearing the uniform correctly and with pride is important to maintain our good reputation.
Additionally, our uniform and grooming expectations ensure students are part of a safe learning environment, removes peer pressure, and promotes equality and social cohesion. Students can expect to be challenged by their Care Group teacher if they are not meeting our high expectations for grooming and presentation.
