YEAR 12

TERM 3: WEEK 1

Hi, Year 12 Families,

Welcome back to Term 3! I hope all families and students had a restful break and are ready for another exciting Term. Term 3 commences Monday, 8 July, from 8:30 am.

We had great success with some of our students at the Eisteddfod in the last week of term; well done!

Congratulations to the Year 12 students representing the College at the Confraternity and QISSN Carnivals during the holidays! We look forward to hearing all about it next week.

On behalf of Mr Brennan and me, please find Week 1 key information and important reminders below. Please take a moment to read each section, especially the Uniform and Personal Grooming requirements for the commencement of Term 3.

Please note that the Celebration Dinner table grouping is being finalised this week. Please ensure your child completes the form sent before the school holidays.

Also, our Sports sessions on Tuesdays this Semester will be dedicated to Year 12 Celebration Dinner preparations and University / TAFE applications.

We look forward to welcoming all Year 12 students back on Monday!

ST MARY'S CATHOLIC COLLEGE PRESENTS ANNIE JR.

Get ready for a toe-tapping, heartwarming, and utterly delightful musical performance of Annie Jr, presented by the talented St Mary's Catholic College student cast!

Let us take you back to New York City in 1933, during the Great Depression, a time when people were hungry and cold, and the orphanages were filled with sad children reflecting on their 'Hard-Knock' life. Enter the Billionaire Warbucks, who, with the help of his lovely secretary Grace, is on a mission to improve his public image by sharing their luxurious Christmas with an orphan in need. Initially disappointed that the orphan is not a boy, he grows very fond of the bubbly and spirited Annie. Along the way, we experience the undesirable characters of the cruel Miss Hannigan, who runs the Hudson Street Orphanage, her swindling brother Rooster and his ditzy girlfriend Lily, who are all looking for a quick ride to 'Easy Street'.

Tickets are on sale Monday, 8 July 2024, from 8:00 am.
