Our student artworks always look stunning around our school. These photos are just a small example of our current gallery in our administration building corridor.
Year 4 Chinese Dragons
Our Year 4 artists were inspired by the Chinese Year of the Dragon to create these masterpieces. After studying several example masks, the artists planned and sketched their own designs. They then added a paint base layer, mixing the colours that they wanted to work with. Finally, they added paint pen details and embellishments.
Year 1 Sunflowers
Our Year 1 artists explored contracting colours to create these magnificent masterpieces. They cut out various shapes and also completed a background of various colours. The final step was piecing them all together.
Our Year 5 & 6 students have been learning about brain science. This included naming the different lobes and their functions and even building their own brain cap!
Our Year 5 & 6 Action Teams are in full swing. These groups meet each Friday at 12.30pm and focus on students developing their leadership skills via collaborating on various actions or projects.
Some of our students in the Community Action Team are running a Bake Sale on Friday 21st June. All monies raised will be donated to Second Bite which is a leading food charity and rescue organisation dedicated to rescuing surplus food for Australian charities, community groups and foodbanks across the country.
If you would like to contribute to the Bake Sale, could you please bring any baked goods on the morning of the sale along with a full list of ingredients.
We just ask that any items do not contain nuts and don't require refrigeration.
With the newsletter this week, I have included a Term 3 calendar. This provides families with a list of dates for the different activities we have organised next term.
Two of the most important dates to remember are:
A reminder that on our last day this term, Friday 28th June we will finish at 2.30pm. Our assembly will be outdoors (weather permitting) at 2pm.
