School Council Update

Last night the June School Council was held. Please find below a short summary of the discussions at the meeting.

Annual Report to the School Community

Last meeting Rachel presented the Annual School Report to Council, and this was further discussed last night.  Council congratulates School Leadership and especially all of our amazing teaching staff on a very successful 2023, they should feel really proud. I encourage all the school community to take the time to read through the report, and this will be presented at the upcoming Annual General Meeting.

All Council members will be undergoing Child Safety Standard training - this will be recorded so please let us know if you’d like to also take part in this important education.

School Council Committee Member

We’d like to welcome Michelle Barnett to school council as a community member. We are looking forward to working with you over the coming months.

Buildings and Grounds

Rachel has sent an update regarding the soil testing, and we are hoping to have further answers and an action plan from the VSBA by the end of the school holidays.  ForeGround Architects - who have been leading the design of the Captial Works will be presenting the designs to the school community at the AGM, we look forward to seeing you there.

The school has also engaged a Landscape Architect to design the grounds master plan, which will be a key input into future playground and play space planning alongside the capital works over the coming years.  Community consultation will commence once we have drafts of the plans.

Fundraising Committee - call for members

The fundraising committee is looking for members - whatever skill you have will be warmly welcomed!  Please reach out to Kylie or the office if you would like to know more.
