On Sunday, June 2nd, our Sacramental Candidates were recognised during our Welcoming Masses. They received a special blessing and their Confirmation Certificates, marking a significant milestone in their faith journey. This event provided a wonderful opportunity for our parishioners, who have supported and prayed for our candidates, to congratulate them and officially welcome them as full members of the church.
The parishioners took great delight in browsing through the "Steps in Faith" booklets created by the candidates. These booklets, filled with personal reflections and spiritual milestones, were fill with stickers and notes of praise from the congregation, celebrating the candidates' commitment and growth in their faith. It was a heartwarming experience that strengthened the bonds within our church community and highlighted the collective joy and support for our newly confirmed members.

We celebrate the life of St. Anthony of Padua, one of the most beloved saints in the Catholic tradition. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1195, St. Anthony became a renowned preacher and teacher whose wisdom and compassion continue to inspire us today.
St. Anthony is often depicted holding the Christ Child and a lily, symbolizing his purity and devotion. Known as the "Wonder Worker," he is invoked for help in finding lost items, but his true legacy lies in his deep understanding of Scripture and his dedication to helping the poor and marginalised.
His feast day, celebrated on June 13th, reminds us of the power of faith, humility, and service. As we reflect on his teachings, let us strive to embody his spirit of kindness and generosity in our daily lives, fostering a community of support and compassion within our school.
St. Anthony of Padua, pray for us!
In the year 2000, our talented parish priest, Father Rene, composed a beautiful hymn dedicated to St. Anthony. This song, rich in melody and devotion, has been played during Mass over the past few weeks. We also shared it with our students during assembly this week.
St. Hannibal, the founder of the Congregation of the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus, had a profound devotion to St. Anthony. His deep reverence for St. Anthony is reflected in the values and practices of the congregation, emphasising the importance of prayer and devotion in our spiritual lives and service to those in need. Through Father Rene's hymn, we continue to honour this tradition, fostering a deeper connection to St. Anthony within our parish community.
