God's Love and Care for All

Term 2, Week 8

Dear Parents and Carers,

Last Sunday 57 of our students celebrated their First Eucharist. We congratulate you all on this special occasion and in your spiritual journey. May your hearts always be filled with immense joy and may you continue to be a source of inspiration to others through your faith journey. Thank you to Fr George, our spiritual leader, who provides guidance and wisdom to our school community. To our teachers and families thank you for supporting our students' spiritual growth and preparing them for this special day.

Next week our Leadership Team will be speaking with our 2025 prep families. It is always a very important time in our school calendar and an opportunity to meet with new and current families and the eager children who are generally very keen to commence their schooling at the 'big school'.

School Advisory Council: Our next meeting is scheduled for Thursday 13th June commencing at 7.00pm.  If you are interested in attending the meeting, please email lglouftsis@olps.vic.edu.au

Parent Teacher Conversations: On Tuesday, the portal on COMPASS will open for families to book a time for Parent Teacher Conversations with their child's teacher. This is a time to discuss your child’s first semester report and an opportunity to gain valuable insights into your child’s academic progress, areas of improvement and any questions you may have regarding your child’s academic or social/emotional learning. Attending these interviews also sends a powerful message to your child, demonstrating your interest and investment in their education. It also highlights that their progress and well-being matter to you, reinforcing the importance of education and fostering a sense of support and collaboration amongst students, teachers and families.

NCCD - Nationally Consistent Collection of Data:

Each year in August, schools are mandated to  complete the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data on School Students with Disability (NCCD). It counts the number of students who receive additional adjustments or ‘help” at school so that all students have the opportunity to learn and succeed. For more information about this process please click on the link:  Parent Fact sheet

School Calendar: Please check the School Community Calendar Page for important upcoming events.

Enjoy the extra long weekend
