World Teachers' Day

World Teachers' Day is an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the immense effort and dedication that our teachers put into their work, so tirelessly each and every day.

By celebrating our teachers and showing our appreciation, we can help create a supportive and encouraging environment that allows them to thrive and continue making a positive impact on the minds and futures of our children and young people.

Please join me in celebrating our dedicated and talented teachers this Friday, October 31. We thank them wholeheartedly for their time, passion and love for our children.

Inclusion and Engagement Online Parent/Carer Session – Making Sense of Sensory Processing (Wednesday 29th October 6pm)

Miners Rest Primary School is excited to host an online presentation with Senior Occupational Therapist Emma Farrell from OT Dynamic. This session, designed for parents and carers, will explore Making Sense of Sensory Processing - understanding your child’s everyday experience.

K-F Transition Sessions

It was delightful to see so many parents attend our information session during the first official Kinder to School Transition yesterday morning. It was even more delightful to see all of our gorgeous enrolments for Foundation 2026 engaged in activities in classrooms. 

Congratulations and thank you to our wonderful Foundation Teachers for planning, preparing and delivering a very successful and engaging session in the classrooms.

Class Placement Requests

This is the final week for parents to make an appointment to meet with me and discuss class placement of their children for 2026. If you wish to share information about your child that will support successful placement in a class for 2026, please make an appointment to meet with me, via the school email address, or by contacting our friendly administration team. Requests for an appointment to discuss 2026 class placement must be received no later than Friday 31st October.

Ball Sports & Mini Fete

We are counting down to our ever-popular Ball Sports next Friday, November 7. We invite families to join us and cheer on our participants. 

Following lunch, we will be hosting a Mini Fete within the school grounds where, once again, our families are most welcome to join us.
