Year One/Two News

This week, our students have been learning all about information reports, a special type of writing that helps us share facts and details clearly. To make the learning even more exciting, students were given the chance to use their imaginations and create their very own creatures!
Each student designed a unique creature and wrote an information report that included:
Name – a creative and descriptive title for their new creature
Picture – a detailed drawing showing what their creature looks like
Habitat – where their creature lives and how it survives in its environment
Diet – what it eats and how it finds its food
Facts – fascinating information about special abilities, features, or fun details
From shimmering sea creatures to mountain beasts, the students showed incredible creativity and skill. They used descriptive language, organised their ideas and presented their reports neatly.
