Principal Address

Dear Parents,
I hope you had a blessed week.
As the warmer weather settles in please remember the following.
- Ensure your child brings a clearly labelled water bottle and has enough water for the day.
- Please ensure your child has a clearly marked hat. We are noticing many children turning up without a hat.
- While we have plenty of shaded areas around the playground, if your child has fair or sensitive skin, please apply sunscreen before school.
- When temperatures reach 35°C or above, children will remain inside for playtime to ensure student safety.
All classrooms have air conditioning and fans for student comfort.
Golfing
We are starting a four-week Golf program for students in Years 3–6, beginning next week. Specialist coaches from Golf NSW will be running the sessions. As a lifelong golfer myself, I can attest to how enjoyable and valuable it can be to share the game with your children, it’s a great way to spend time together outdoors. Every holidays, I always ensure that I take my daughter out to play and we love the shared experience, riding on the cart and having fun. Perhaps some of our Years 3-6 might be inspired to take the skills they will learn over the next few weeks and apply them!
Kindy swimming lessons
Our Kindergarten students have begun their swimming lessons this week and had a fantastic time developing confidence and water safety skills. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm and joy in the pool.
Our champion, Toakase
At risk of each week being an update on all of Toakase’s achievements, we are incredibly proud of her. She has already won the Zone, State CSSA and the State Combined Independent School titles. On Wednesday, Toakase represented our school at the Combined Independent Schools sport association at the NSWPSSA Championships in the shot put. She threw an outstanding 12.05m, placing 2nd. This is an incredible achievement.
Toakase is the first student in our school’s history to win a medal at the NSWPSSA Championships in any event; swimming, cross-country, or track and field. She now advances to the National Championships in Canberra this November. I had the pleasure of watching her compete, and it was inspiring to see her perform so confidently and represent our school so proudly. Great job Toakase!
Bus update
I will send a note out next week to families affected. Please note that unfortunately, our bus is having an issue and is currently with the mechanics. We have hired some replacement buses for the beginning of next week, but there may be some disruptions later in the week. Thanks for your patience as we work through that.
Kindy Orientation 2026
I wanted to congratulate all of our Year 4 and 5 buddies who did such an amazing job on Tuesday welcoming all of our new Kindys for 2026. We got such great feedback at how great our buddies were at helping them feel happy and settled.
Next week we are having our second 2026 orientation day on Friday. Please note that Chapel will start at a slightly later time of 9.15am, to ensure our Kindy 2026 are in the right seats and settled.
My door is always open.
Mr Joe Britton
