Principal's Report

Dear families,
Term 4 is always a busy time of year for the strategic planning of a school and the transition from one year to the next. As we farewelled our current Year 12 students to prepare for, firstly, their final exams and secondly, the next step in their life journey, we also prepare for another year of learning in 2026. Preparation is well under way for class lists and new student arrivals in 2026. I take this opportunity now to ask families that if there is a change to your arrangements next year that you let our College know as soon as possible to ensure we can best support your son or daughter.
Many of you may know that our Senior Pathways Coordinator (VCE), Mrs Lesley Lannen is away from school currently for medical reasons and we wish Lesley a speedy recovery. I would also like to publicly thank all of those staff who have stepped up to assist our students in their VCE exams, with particular thanks to Fiona Friberg, Louise Hobbs, Lorraine Leonforte and the Office staff. The care and support our staff show our students and colleagues is never more evident than at times like this.
Year 10 and 11 students will begin their final exams on 17 November which allows students to show their learnings from the past semester and finalise their subject choices for 2026. One of our school values is ‘Aspiration’ and we encourage all students to aspire to demonstrate their best.
The Year 9 Outdoor Education Camp has spent the last three days down on the coast experiencing water activities and rock climbing in the vagaries of Victoria’s weather. I know they will return better for the experience and I thank the staff who have provided our students with this opportunity.
Stay safe,
Gerard Raven
