Year 2 Book Celebration with St Bede’s

This year, our Year 2 students have collaborated with students from St Bede's to 'write a book in a term'. Together, the students planned settings, characters and plots. They discussed what they liked about picture stories they already knew and what they might like to incorporate into stories of their own. 

On Wednesday the 15th, our Year 2 students were thrilled to be presented with the books they had written. The St Bede’s students shared the finished stories with their groups, had our Year 2s sign their copies and generously gifted us a full set of the books for our school library. We then enjoyed a shared lunch and playtime before saying thank you and goodbye to our high school visitors. Everyone was impressed by the professionally printed stories; they look fantastic and are wonderfully written, engaging and enjoyable to read!

Year 6 Learning Leaders Spelling Bee

In Term 3, our Year 6 Learning Leaders, Thomas, Sam and Jake, organised and hosted a fantastic Year 3 Spelling Bee. We were so impressed by the amazing spelling abilities of all the Year 3 students who chose to take part and they should all be congratulated on their efforts and enthusiasm. Congratulations to Marco C from 3EL, who was crowned the overall winner! This term, our Learning Leaders are looking forward to continuing the fun by running a Spelling Bee for Years 4 and 5.
