Congratulations to Luca, who was named runners up in the Year 3-5 category at this year's Writer's Festival!  As he was unable to attend on the day, yesterday Faye Mason presented Luca with his certificate and prize money. During this presentation, Faye spoke at how impressed the judges were with our student's writing.  She also mentioned that she had received lots of favourable feedback from listeners, after the Year 3/4 class had spoken on the radio about their writing.  Our thanks to Faye and everyone involved with the Mount Beauty Writer's Festival, for providing our students with these great opportunities.

Our congratulations also to Luella, Ferdi and Harry on their achievement at last week's regional finals in Athletics.  Luella received a medal for third place in the 11 year old girls Long Jump, jumping a personal best at over 3.9 m!  Harry and Ferdi both competed in the 1500m event, and placed 7th and 8th, respectively, in their events, against some tough competition.

As a celebration of our student's learning, next Thursday afternoon, 30th October, families are invited to join us for our annual Exhibition of Learning.  Classes will be displaying a selection of student work, and families are invited to visit the classrooms between 3.30-4.30pm.  We hope you can join us!

Thank you to all those families who have returned medical forms for upcoming events.  If you haven't already done so, please ensure these are returned to school tomorrow.

On Friday 7th November, the Junior Sports Day will be held in Dederang.  This annual event, provides a great opportunity for our students to connect with their peers from Falls Creek, Tawonga and Dederang.  During the event, students will participate in a rotation of activities, including high jump, long jump, obstacle courses, frisbee, vortex, hurdles and relays.  Students will travel by bus to Dederang, and families can use their School Saver Bonus, CSEF or other school credit to cover the cost.
