Years F & 1 

This week we maths we have had a look at deciding what events would take seconds, minutes, or hours. We had a great conversation deciding what we thought would go where and why. For the remainder of the week, we have been looking at shapes. We focused on 2D shapes first, naming them and talking about how many edges, corners, and faces each shape had. Afterward, I said students had to pick up a shape with 4 edges. They had to think carefully and look through the shapes. We kept going with this and students ended up with 2 groups of shapes. They had to make something with the shapes and tell the rest of the class what it was. There were some great ideas and some creative thinking shown. 

In art, students have been working hard on their Red Gum Festival piece. They have been coming together nicely and we are looking forward to sharing them all with you.
