Term 1 - Willy Kids are Respectful

Weeks 7 & 8: Willy Kids are Considerate

We all enjoy the positive environment that Willy Primary has. A key component of our positive environment is that we are considerate of all those who are members of our school community. Being considerate isn’t just thinking of those around us, it is respecting and accepting who they are and what they do. We need to be considerate of others’ opinions, property and the environment they work in. As Willy Kids, we celebrate the diversity that makes up our school community.

When demonstrating consideration, we are:

  • Mindful of those around us, ensuring not to disrespect their opinions, differences or culture
  • Demonstrating positive body language
  • Using appropriate language that is respectful and polite
  • Understanding of the various types of learners and accepting of them
  • Empathetic to each other’s feelings and show understanding and tolerance
  • Wait our turn, give other people the chance to speak and not interrupt when others are speaking

Being a considerate Willy Kid, means that we are helping other Willy Kids feel safe and comfortable in our learning environment. If we take the time to consider those around us, we will make the world a better place!
