REID - House in Focus
On Wednesday 20 March, Reid House held their annual Saint Patrick's Day Cake Stall to raise money for Caritas Australia. We are pleased to report that an incredible $578.90 was raised on the day. Students of all years from Reid House kindly contributed to the cake stall, offering a variety of baked goods to be sold. We extend many thanks to our Year 12s and the few Year 11s who kindly gave up their time to help sell the variety of biscuits, cakes, brownies, lollies, cupcakes donated by our students. The large amount of money raised and the general positive house attitude towards the stall attributed to the success of the day.
We would also like to commend the performance and spirit of Reid House at the swimming carnival back in Week 4. A sea of green was visible in our house area at the swimming carnival, with students cheering loudly in support of classmates and other house members. We are thrilled to report on the success of our individual swimmers and relay teams throughout the day. A special mention to our senior boys' team who dominated in the pool, taking out a convincing win over the other houses. The Reid presence in the pool, in the novelties and on the grass cheering for other competitors was outstanding, and we commend the supportive spirit students demonstrated throughout the day. We look forward to seeing the same level of Chev spirit and success at the upcoming Athletics Carnival in Term 2.
The efforts of all Reid House students as well as Mr Brooks, our House Coordinator, have been instrumental in making these events successful, and we extend much thanks to them for their assistance and guidance. We can’t wait to see what the rest of 2024 will bring for Reid!
