From the Principal

Ms.Shannon Correll

To our wonderful school community,

The school uniform is not just about conformity; it's an essential element of our identity and community spirit. By wearing the uniform, students become part of something larger than themselves. It fosters a sense of belonging, unity, and pride in being a student at St Brigid's School.

Here are a few reasons why wearing the school uniform is so important:

Sense of Identity: The uniform is a visual representation of our school's values, traditions, and ethos. It helps students identify with the school and reinforces a sense of pride in being part of our community.

Equality and Inclusivity: Wearing the same uniform removes socioeconomic barriers and promotes equality among students. It ensures that everyone is judged based on their character and achievements rather than their clothing.

Promotes Discipline and Focus: The uniform sets a standard for behavior and instills a sense of discipline in students. It helps create a conducive environment for learning by minimizing distractions.

Preparation for the Future: In many professions and institutions, a uniform is required attire. By wearing the school uniform, students learn the importance of dressing appropriately for different settings, preparing them for future endeavours.

The uniform for Term 2 and 3 are:

  • Dark Blue Short Sleeve or Long Sleeve Polo Top with light blue and yellow panels with school emblem
  • Dark Blue Shorts or Long Pants with the school name
  • Dark Blue Jacket with yellow piping with school emblem
  • Predominately white or black sand shoes with white ankle-length socks or black school shoes to be worn with the dress
  • Dark Blue Bucket hat with school emblem

Yours in Peace Love and Learning,

Shannon Correll
