Year 12

It has been a fantastic few weeks for our year 12 students as they continue to work hard and embrace the many opportunities that come with their final year of schooling. With Unit 3 drawing to a close, students are preparing for upcoming SACs and examinations. 

We strongly encourage all students to seek support when needed and take advantage of the many opportunities available to help them succeed. Students are encouraged to regularly communicate with their classroom teachers, ask questions and seek clarification to strengthen understanding. We encourage attendance to attend the various support sessions on offer including:

These sessions provide valuable opportunities for additional guidance, revision and preparation for SACs and examinations. Working consistently and accessing support early can make a significant difference in student confidence an achievement. 

As part of preparations for the General Achievement Test (GAT) students have participated in GAT readiness sessions and have been exposed to GAT-style questions to help build familiarity and confidence. The take will take place on Tuesday 16 June, with students required onsite from 8:30 am. Additional information regarding the GAT and GAT style questions are available online via the VCAA website.

IDAHOBIT

Students recently celebrated our annual IDAHOBIT Day, with many proudly wearing colourful socks in recognition of the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia. It was wonderful to see students embracing the day and supporting an inclusive school community that celebrates diversity and belonging. 

There has also been much excitement and anticipation surrounding the upcoming Year 12 Formal as students put the finishing touches on dresses, suits and transport plans. The formal makes an exciting milestone of the year 12 journey, it’s an opportunity for students to celebrate friendships, achievements and memories made. We look forward to sharing this special evening with our students and celebrating this important occasion together. 

A huge congratulations to our Senior Boys Soccer team who were crowned Division Champions after an outstanding undefeated performance on the day. 

The team demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination and sportsmanship throughout the competition. 

We are incredibly proud of their achievement and wish them all the best as they progress to the Regional Championships which will take place in July.
