Morrisby Profiling

Congratulations to all Year 9 students for completing the Morrisby Profiling program so well. The program helps students explore their strengths, interests, and future career pathways to support informed subject and pathway choices.  Students will participate in their Morrisby interviews in Term 4, where they will have the opportunity to discuss their results and explore future education and career options in more detail.

Zoo Summary by - Madison Colbert

On Tuesday, 2 June, Year 9 Home Groups A, B, and C went to Melbourne Zoo.
We all met at 9:00 am at Berwick Train Station to have the roll marked and go through the excursion expectations and rules. We boarded the 9:27 am train to Parkville and arrived at approximately 10:30 am.
After arriving, we made our way to Melbourne Zoo using public transport. Along the journey, there were a few unexpected detours, reminding us that some teachers may occasionally need a little assistance with their navigation skills. When we arrived at the zoo, we were briefed on the activities for the day observing animals, and learning more about wildlife and conservation.
At 1:40 pm, everyone met at the Dino Café for lunch. During the break, we were allowed to walk around and buy souvenirs, provided we returned to the meeting point by 2:10 pm for a final roll call before departing the zoo. We then made our way back to the train station and boarded the train home. Before long, we were back in Berwick after a busy and enjoyable day.
Overall, the excursion was a great experience. We enjoyed seeing a wide range of animals, spending time with our friends, and learning outside the classroom. The day was made even better by the teachers who organised and supervised the trip, although some may still benefit from a refresher course in navigation!

School Reminder

A reminder to all students to ensure they are wearing the correct school uniform each day. Hoodies are not part of the school uniform and should not be worn at school. Students are also expected to wear navy blue school pants as part of the uniform requirements.

Additionally, mobile phones are not to be used during school hours. Phones should remain switched off and stored away from the start of the school day until the final bell.

Thank you for helping us maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
