Stage 4 Poetry

Year 7/8 students have just finished a unit on poetry. For their assessment they had to write a poem. A couple of students have decided to publish theirs for you to read.
Nissan Patrol
Nissan patrol soaring through the plains,
through the ruts through the lanes.
Its old but feels so new,
The dirt under the wheels it gets so chewed.
GQ patrol hear it roar,
The way it soars shakes my core.
Fill up the beast,
Fuel flowing,
Then I drive east.
I steer left and right.
Through the day, through the night
How do I love thee? Let me look at the rust.
Look out my mirror,
Its kicking up dust
I love how the diesel scents the air,
Speed past a land cruiser,
They do not think it’s fair.
This machine has power,
This machine has speed,
What can stop it,
Not even the seven seas.
Where the beast takes me, I may go,
Where that is, I guess we’ll never know.
How do I love thee?
There's so many ways.
To count them,
It would take me days.
As I sit as I watch
Mr out, I’m alert, now watch the clocks
Mr revert; I’m frost now chained in locks
I catch their calls, I whisper their tears, what now
You muse you’re the ruler, don’t get no bow
No sympathy, I gaze I’m elsewhere, hide
You are fusing a bloom, fake but the bride
I’ll be vexed, I’ll be cryptic, you’re the woe
Bite at me bite at me, you’re just the crow
I am diligent, power, I don’t show
As I sit as I watch, in destiny I glow
stray around the blood, show that I’m here bloom
why do you let him like I’m the one fume
I do love you too, but him, sharp, stab, deep
I draw, I draw in shame, speak with a harp
Music is my ears, I will be counting
I was thunder, lighting your surrounding
There was no sight of me, now I’m a show
Soon as I sit and watch you’ll know
A series of trauma sits deep below
I’m wreaked your lost in love, I am willow
Must stay away, he’s fire I’m the rain
I wash it all down, I drink all the pain
Day after day I drink more while I burn
At all no one like you will ever turn
As you don’t see the hurt you prise, the ache
You have a different face, to me your fake
I tell a story and you tell the lies
As I sit as I watch, the skies will grise.
