This will be followed at 3.45pm by some wonderful musical performances in our school hall. More information will be sent out about this afternoon.
Throughout the term, students will also complete assessment tasks as teachers prepare to report on their progress at the end of Term 2. We look forward to another fantastic term ahead!
Level 4 Scienceworks Excursion
On Monday 29th April, students from 4T and 4W visited the Scienceworks Museum in Spotswood. Students participated in three amazing workshops on the day.
Roller Coaster Engineer - Supported by presenters, students observed the physics of energy, force and inertia as they designed, tested and modified their roller coasters.
Cool Stuff - This Very Cool liquid nitrogen show included demonstrations to illustrate the properties of solids, liquids and gases. Changes of state, expansion and contraction were all demonstrated using lots of fog, froth and fun.
Tilt - In this Planetarium show students explored how the four seasons are caused by the tilt of the Earth's axis combined with the Earth’s orbit around the Sun and how the seasons and length of day vary across the Earth, from the poles to the equator.
Students in 4M and 4JA will participate in this excursion on Thursday 5th June.
Student Hats not Required from the 1st of May
With the cooler weather now on it's way, the UV ratings begin to fall. From the 1st May, 2025 students will no longer need to wear their school hats when outside. We will advise all families later in the year when we will start wearing our hats again. I have encouraged all students to take their hats home while not required for a wash and freshen up.
