Kids Week
From the 11th of March to the 14 of March 2025, DVC celebrated kids’ week. There were many fun events to raise money for it. Like a Basketball free throw comp and a sing, the next line.
On Tuesday we had the basketball free throw comp, Wednesday we had sing the next line on in the auditorium, Thursday we had the casual clothes day with a gold coin donation with fairy bread for $1 dollar at lunch! And on Friday we had the scavenger hunt.
On Thursday Izzy Everard, Iris Murphy, Hailey Curran and Mackenzie Tauelangi helped Kim make over 100 pieces of fairy bread for the students. There were many left over but the total money raised from the Fairy bread was $176.95! On Thursday there was also a canteen deal which raised $53 dollars. Some students from the SRC were chosen to sell gratitude cards at lunchtime for a few days that week, they raised $94.20.
Last but certainly not least, the casual dress day gold coin donation raised $572 dollars. The total added up to $896.15!
Thank you so much everyone for helping with this event. We are grateful for all your hard work. The total raised is amazing and everyone is very proud.

Primary School Visits
Throughout Term 1, DVC students and staff hosted over 400 students from Wattle Glen, Hurstbridge, Strathewen, Diamond Creek, Yarrambat and St Andrews Primary Schools at our College. The Primary School students all immersed themselves in a day of classes, including Science, Art, Drama, PE, Food and Technology.
We had wonderful feedback from our Primary Schools, which was wonderful. It also showcased our fabulous teaching staff and student leaders who ran these programs. We are looking forward to continuing to develop our connections with our local Primary Schools.
