Year 3 visited the Cathedral to view the miniature cathedral & relics.

Year 4

In Year 4, students have been learning how to apply their strategies of partioning, regrouping and rearranging numbers to solve addition problems. We love playing dice and card games to apply our skills. This game is called 'Dicey Addition' - I dare you to challenge your child to a game!

In Year 4, we have been focusing on setting our learning space in writing with all the resources for "Where to go to for help". We are working on our assessment piece, an information report about 'My Place', in preparation for publishing next week. We can't wait to share this with you!

Year 4 received a box from the queen (because we are living and working in the 18th Century at the moment!). Inside were instructions for the 'Great Journey' (we are in History of course!). The photos below, show the various fleets sailing around the "Blue Sea" and the "Gold Sea" as instructed by the Queen. The various crew members are using their historical skills to answer the question: Why did the great journeys take place? Ask your child about the historical information they discovered while on their great journey.
