Principal News - Term 1 Week 10

On Tuesday we held our annual walkathon. We had perfect weather, perfect track conditions and high energy from all involved. It was a wonderful whole school event that could be heard from quite a distance as the class chants were audibly shared ( some hoarse voices were heard afterwards) and banners proudly held up! Thank you once again for the amazing support of our volunteers for making this yet another highly successful event! The best banner winner and values awards will be announced at our first assembly in term 2.

Prep Celebration Morning

On Wednesday we held our Prep Celebration morning. It was terrific to spotlight their growth and engagement after a term of school. They sang songs and joyfully stood listening to summaries of their achievements this year. The highlight of the group gathering was an ENPS style ‘Kids Say the Darndest Things’   To see the children without any rehearsals or preloading answer questions posed by their teachers into the microphone was a treat! Following the group gathering, students returned to their classrooms where they completed activities with their invited guests. Seeing how confident they are and how willing they are to engage in the performing of songs to an audience was a great way to finish the term.

Uniform change feedback opportunity

On Wednesday I communicated information about a uniform change for 2026. Included in the communication was an invitation to share your thoughts about this. It was very pleasing to see so many anonymous responses come in quickly. The comments box is a particularly important part of the consultation process as it provides us with valuable information to help School Council make an informed decision. If you haven’t had the opportunity to complete the survey, I encourage you to do so as we value all feedback. The survey will remain open until the beginning of term 2. Please see compass for the link to the survey.

Final Day of Term

On Friday we will hold our final term assembly commencing at 2:15pm sharp. We will be enjoying a body percussion performance from the year 1/ 2 students prior to the early dismissal of 2:30pm. Students in years 2-6 will be dismissed from the assembly court. Students in year prep and one will be dismissed from their classrooms.

Wishing all our families a lovely holiday break with family and friends. For those  celebrating easter, I wish you a Happy Easter over the term break. We look forward to seeing all of our students return on Wednesday April 23rd following our student free day on Tuesday April 22nd.
