Mountain Bike Championship

The Gippsland Schools Mountain Bike Championship was held at Haunted Hills MTB Park Newborough on Friday 1st November. 12 College students took up the challenge in an exhausting day of racing, setting their best times on 3 different downhill trails to gather their overall position. As several of their parents watched on, it soon became apparent that the climb from the finish lines to the start of the runs was going to be the least enjoyable part of the day for the 180 participants. To their credit, they continued winding down the trails all day long to log very competitive times, as well as having a blast with fellow competitors and school mates alike. Well done to Tully, Alex, Ryley, William, Jem, Rylan, Kody, Oliver, Charlie, Chris, Fletcher on a great day of racing.

Alex (Year 10)

Metung Fun Run

It was great to see so many of the College staff supporting the Metung Fun Run last weekend. Helping to raise funds for the Metung Primary School, staff challenged themselves to either a 5km Run/Walk or the 10km Run that made its way from Main St Metung, along Beach Rd and up the hill into Kings Cove and return. Notably impressive was Ms Townshend's win in the 10km event in a time of 37:14! Congratulations to all on challenging yourselves and supporting a great community event.
