Wellbeing

At Holy Rosary School all children and families are expected to be Wellbeing Warriors who look after the safety and wellbeing of themselves and others

In the final week of Term Three Holy Rosary Students were introduced to Lucky Ducky, our Positive Behaviours for Learning mascot. Lucky is the product of the student mascot design competition held in 2023, and can be seen on PBL posters all around our school.

Lucky Ducky will be appearing in person more and more over the course of Term Four and will be acknowledging classes who show they are ready to learn by lining up quietly and on time at the bell.

Lucky will also be keeping an eye out in corridors to spot classes who are transitioning between learning spaces quietly and respectfully, rewarding classes with special yellow PBL dollars called

‘Duck Bills’. These will go into a pool to be drawn out at assembly on Mondays. The winning classes will be awarded a rubber duck. The class with the most ‘ducks in a row’ will win a special PBL prize

at the end of term.

So far Grade 5/6 S has already added one duck to their collection, while Grade 1/2 W were awarded a yellow ‘Duck Bill’ for transitioning quietly and being ready to learn.

We are looking forward to seeing plenty of other classes earning Lucky’s PBL dollars as the term progresses!
