Jump Rope for Heart

On Friday the 29th of November, the school is taking part in Jump Rope for Heart. Your child will have the opportunity to take action and raise money for the Heart Foundation while at the same time showing the importance of keeping fit and healthy. Your child’s class will be timetabled for a 30 minute skipping session on the basketball court or gym, when the students will be able to showcase their skipping skills to music. We are asking each student to bring a gold coin donation to help raise money for research into heart disease.

WHAT TO WEAR:

Children will be expected to be in school uniform on the day. Children will also need to wear appropriate running shoes.

ENPS SUNSMART EXPECTATIONS:

In accordance with our ENPS Sun Protection Policy all students are required to wear covering clothing including:

  • broad brimmed, legionnaire or bucket hats which protect the face, neck and ears whenever they are outside, during recess, lunch, sport, excursions, before and after school (no peak caps or visors)
  • shirts with sleeves (no singlets or singlet tops)
  • sunglasses (labelled AS 1067), if practical.

Students may provide their own SPF 30 or higher broad spectrum, water resistant sunscreen at parent discretion, for independent application before going outdoors (particularly in the case of students with sunscreen related allergies).

Basketball Hoop Time Regional Finals

Junior and Senior Girls All Stars Hoop Time Teams

On Friday the 8th of November and Monday 11th of November, selected Year Three to Six students showcased their skills and sportsmanship in Basketball Victoria’s Regional Hoop Time finals, at Diamond Valley Basketball Centre.

This event was a round robin style competition which had our students competing against schools from all over Melbourne. Both groups were our first All Star teams to head to Regionals, a huge effort that all of the girls should be very proud of, we know we are!

A great effort from our Junior All Stars team saw them finish 5th in their pool. Congratulations to: Indie 4CT, Daniella 4SG, Mila 4SG, Sophie 4HC, Georgia 4SG, Holly 3JR and Willow 3LD.

Whilst our Seniors All Stars Team finished 4th in their pool. Congratulations to: Saanvi 6LA, Rye 6LA, Emma 6MP, Milly 6MP, Elle 6AK, Willow 6MP, Mia 5EW and Cedar 6AJ.

A big thank you to Lana Harris for training, coaching and supporting our Regional teams and to Craig Mather for supporting the students on the day. Another shout out goes to Sian Wilson for coming down to support the Senior All Star Girls and for bringing baby Parker too! Also an extra special thanks to the parents and carers, who drove their children to this event and helped with scoring.
