Performing Arts

Hi Everyone!

It’s been a very exciting time in Performing Arts at ENPS this past fortnight!

Foundation

Foundation students have continued to explore ‘Our Bodies That Move’ and performed a Morning Routine dance to the well-known song, Ghostbusters. They focused on the dance element of ‘time’ and had to time their movements to phrases of eight counts.

Year One and Two

After three weeks of giving everyone a chance to be a director/choreographer, all Year One and Two students successfully completed directing/choreographing their own dance map with two or three students as their dancers. They loved the autonomy of being the creator as well as following instructions from the directors/choreographers.

Year Three and Four

During the past two weeks the Year Threes and Fours have experienced the challenge of learning the intricate footwork of the Cha Cha Cha! Students have shown resilience by not giving up when steps are difficult to learn. They will soon complete their Cha Cha Cha assessment and then next up… Jazz dance!

Year Five

The Year Fives have completed their whole class Flash Mob by connecting all the group dance routines to one song! Now to perform in public next week (clue: somewhere on the school playground)! See photos below!

Year Six

On the 31st of October, the Year Six students performed their Performing Arts pieces at their science Exhibition. Some groups performed live at the Exhibition - others recorded their performances on film and it was playing on a screen throughout the day. Well done Year Sixes for completing such a creative project!
