Property Updates:

Our new classroom block is beautiful, awesome, stunning, innovative, and imaginative—these are some of the words visitors to our school have used to describe the four-room complex.

In 33 years as a principal I have never encountered a building like it. We had a vision of implementing and incorporating Thornburg's Five Learning Spaces Theory, and the reality has been everything we could have hoped for.

This year we have Mrs Pram with her year one class and Mrs Taylor with her year two class in the downstairs floor. Next year, Mrs Lupe and Mr Taura will each have a year 5 and 6 class in the upstairs section.

Out in front of the block is our sixth and newest Pōhatu Tūmu, Pākiki. This stone represents Curiousity, Inquiry, Searching for Knowledge and Understanding. We are pleased to share that Pākiki will be our 2025 Theme Stone. We know our children and staff will have a lot of fun and provide plenty of challenge when it comes to seeing where they can go with this theme. More on this in the new year.
