Principal’s Report

Summer Uniform

Students will be asked to transition over into their summer uniform by week 3 of term 4.  I ask for the parents' support in ensuring the students are wearing the correct uniform, in particular, the correct socks and no brand names.

Grandparents & Special Friends Day

Last Friday the school celebrated our ‘Grandparents and Special Friends Day’ and what a wonderful celebration it was. It was great to see all of the classrooms ‘buzzing’ as hives of activity, with the specially invited guests taking a keen interest in the work the students were proudly showing off. Once all gathered in the church, it was amazing to see how many people attended the day, with not a spare seat left inside.  A lot of work went in behind the scenes to ensure the day was a success. The staff are to be congratulated and thanked for all of the hard work they put into planning and preparing for the event. A special thank you to Fr Rom for leading us in a beautiful mass and to Mrs Maher for planning and preparing the mass. I also thank all of the volunteers who assisted with the morning tea for grandparents, special friends and students.  A special thank you to Jacinta (Tuckshop manager) for baking well over 300 cupcakes for our special visitors, we all thoroughly enjoyed them. My final thanks goes to the grandparents and special friends who attended the day. It is days like these that we can fully appreciate how supportive the St Kilian’s School community is and I am so grateful for the genuine interest and care each invited guest showed to the students of the school.
