Grade 1 Area

What's been happening in the Grade 1 area?

Students have been reading nonfiction texts and writing information reports. We recently did a 'Who Am I?' task where students wrote facts and clues about native Australian animals and had to guess each others' animals. Students worked hard to focus on thier personal writing goals and shared their learning with the class.

Students have been attending swimming lessons this week where they have been learning about the importance of water safety and ways in which we communicate and move around the pool. Students have enjoyed learning different ways of swimming in the pool as well as learning about personal responsibility through changing and packing up every day. Swimmming will continue next week and finish next Thursday.
