International Women's Day 2025

The theme for International Womans day 2025 is:

"For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment."

We are looking forward to celebrating International Womans Day this year! 

As March 8th falls on a Saturday, so we will be commemorating the occasion early, this Friday, during the Athletics carnival. 

In recognition of the achievements of women both locally and globally, we will be creating a wall of tributes, where students and staff will be able to contribute note honouring women they admire. 

Additionally, our student leaders have put together a music playlist that will play during the novelty events, celebrating some of our favourite female artists.

This week at NHS, a number of activities have been conducted around the school in celebration of IWD. The library has run a badge making activity, and the Human Rights Club has focussed on initiatives around women and girls throughout the month. In tomorrow's meeting, students will discuss activities and fundraising possibilities for the week ahead. 

Students have also been taking initiative, making videos clips that will be featured in an International Women's Day message from our local member.
