Celebrating one of our Friends of Northcote 

Many in our community know Tony Wilson as the MC for our fabulous annual comedy night. Last year, we were delighted to celebrate with Tony at the premiere of his film, Ange & The Boss. If you were unable to attend last year, now’s your chance! The film has upcoming screenings at local cinemas! 

Message from Tony: 

Hi, I'm your Comedy night MC Tony Wilson and I've got a film out! It's called ANGE & THE BOSS and it's the largely unknown story of a living legend of football, Hungarian striker Ferenc Puskas, living out behind a garden supply in Ashburton and coaching South Melbourne Hellas to an NSL championship. It's funny, it's community affirming, and it's appealing to everyone from ages 10-90. We had 1000 people at our opening night at the Greek Film Festival, and we were finalists for Best Football Film at Palermo. Now it has a national cinema release, including at some favourite local cinemas - Westgarth Cinema with Q&A on 16th March at 3pm, Nova Cinema on 14th March, Pentridge on 13th March, and Thornbury Picture House from 22nd-25th March.
