Year 10 Architecture

Café Design Excursion
Year 10 Architecture students recently took part in an excursion to iconic cafes in the inner north and the city centre including Pellegrini’s Espresso Bar, which was a pioneer for Melbourne’s contemporary café culture.
In class, students have been learning the different key features of an ideal café and following the design process. This includes writing a brief with their own client, target audience, constraints and purpose for their cafe and thinking about the role of design in creating customer appeal.
This experience will inspire the Architecture students to develop their own café designs.
All students were highly engaged in the experience, and are looking forward to putting their research into action.
