Year 7 Picnic & Year 12 Meet and Greet

Year 7 Picnic
It was great to see our families on Wednesday 26 February at our Year 7 Picnic and Year 12 Meet & Greet. Even though the day was a hot one, the cool change came through at just the right time to give us a perfect evening to share some food and for the kids to play some games.
We enjoyed meeting many of our Year 7 students and families who were connecting with both their Connect Tutors and each other. Connect Tutors are parents’ first port of call when they have questions about school, so it is great to be able to put a face to the name.
There were wonderful performances by our Senior Stage Band to create a great atmosphere. The Year 7 scavenger hunt, led by our Year 10 peer support leaders, was an absolute winner.
Year 12 Meet & Greet
We had an excellent opportunity to welcome in Year 12 parents and continue to develop learning partnerships with their children’s teachers. There was a buzz in the Performing Arts Centre as parents and teachers discussed the start of 2025. The evening also provided parents a chance to catch up with other families from the year level. It is always lovely to have the parent community come into the school.
This was followed by a presentation by the Head of Senior School, Paul-Micah Sullivan, which provided insight into the VCE program, outlined how students can experience success in 2025, and how parents can support students on their journey this year. There was plenty of Q+A with parents wanting to find out how they can best support their children through this year.
We look forward to being able to host parents a couple of times throughout the year to support them to support their children’s journey this year.
