I Am Significant

"Fearfully and Wonderfully Made"

Psalm 139 is a powerful reminder of God’s deep care and intimate knowledge of each of us. 

When Matilda was born 2.5 months early, weighing only 1kg, she was fragile, but this Psalm shows us that even in moments of weakness or vulnerability, we are never insignificant. 

The Lord knows us intimately, from the moment we are conceived: “For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb” (Psalm 139:13).

Even before she was born, God had already written the days of Matilda's life. Her small and fragile body was not a sign of insignificance, but of the Creator’s profound attention to every detail. Just as Matilda was fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), we too are crafted with purpose, no matter our size, strength, or circumstances. God does not make mistakes. His love and care are woven through every thread of our existence, from the smallest baby to the tallest adult.

Matilda’s early arrival reminds us that every life is significant, regardless of the challenges it faces. No matter how early, how small, or how uncertain, God’s plan for us is steadfast. We are created with a purpose, loved deeply, and held securely in His hands.

Today, remember that you are significant. God sees you. He knew you before you were born, and He holds your future in His hands. No matter how small or vulnerable you may feel, you are His masterpiece, and He is with you every step of the way.
