Swimming starts this week on Tuesday and Wednesday and will continue for four weeks, with week 7 culminating in the annual swimming carnival on Friday, 13th March, for students in classes 2 to 6. I look forward to enhancing the students' swimming abilities and preparing them for the swimming carnival. As a friendly reminder, please refer to key aspects of swimming from the email/take-home letter regarding information about swimming this term:
Students in classes 2 to 6 will be picked up by the school bus and taken to the town pool for their LTS lesson with the Heath Physical Education (PE) teacher and their class teacher.
They will be in the pool for approximately 60 minutes per day, which will include 30 minutes of lesson time with the Heath PE teacher and 30 minutes of free play time with their class teacher.
Please ensure your child brings everything listed below, all carried in a swimming bag:
If your child requires any medication at the pool, please note this on the permission form.
Clothes to change into after the pool can be their normal day clothes.
Heath will accompany all classes throughout the lesson and bring a first aid kit. However, if your child suffers from asthma or any illness that may flare up during swimming, please ensure they bring their medication.
The bus will bring students back to the Steiner School, and all students should be on time for the bus home at 3pm or their pickup.

On Wednesday, students from Class 6 and some from Class 5 attended the Cricket Interschool Gala Day. This event provided a fantastic introduction to both cricket and carnival-style competitions, allowing students to gain valuable experience. It also served as a wonderful opportunity for community engagement and school spirit-building.
We hope the event was a great success and an enjoyable experience for all involved!
Thank you and all the best,
Heath Morris
