Sustainability in Action

SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM NEWS

Welcome to the 2025 school year! Last year much was achieved by creating new veggie gardens around the school. Many fruit trees and plants were also planted and are doing well. Our fresh produce is being used regularly in our lunch program. This year we are hoping to value add to our school sustainability program with some new initiatives. Watch this space!

HOLIDAY NEWS

During the school holidays, our veggie gardens continued to thrive thanks to our wonderful staff volunteers who came in each week to water our gardens. We have been harvesting zucchinis, and lots of other veggies are growing well.

Our school utility officers did an excellent job building new fences around our gardens which will protect our gardens from the wallabies. Thank you.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Parents, grandparents and family members, can you spare an hour or two on Thursdays to help with our school gardening program? This involves working with small groups of students on a variety of gardening activities including planting, mulching, and general maintenance. If you are available to assist, please let our school office know.  Please ensure you have a current Working with Vulnerable People Card.
