St Laurence's Swimming Carnival 2025

On Thursday, 6th February, St Laurence’s Primary School joined St Joseph’s and Chairo Primary Schools for our annual swimming carnival at the Korumburra Swimming Pool. It was a fantastic day filled with excitement, great sportsmanship, and outstanding achievements in the pool.

 

Many records were broken throughout the day. In the Under 11 Boys' Freestyle, Fletcher McRae set a new record, beating the previous time of 41.6 seconds by 0.36 seconds. In the Under 9 Girls' Backstroke, Phoebe Perczyk broke the record of 55.61 seconds by 0.39 seconds. Makenzi Kranen had an outstanding performance, setting new records in both the 12/13 Girls' Freestyle, beating the previous record of 37.03 seconds by 0.2 seconds, and the 12/13 Girls' Butterfly, where she shattered the record of 41.08 seconds by an incredible 2.75 seconds!

  • Under 12/13 Boys: Tristan Stockdale

A special congratulations to the winners of the Carmel Kennedy Individual Medley Award:

  • Girls: Makenzi Kranen
  • Boys: Tristan Stockdale

The house points were incredibly close this year. In third place was Gold with 418 points, followed by Blue in second place with 420 points. Taking home the championship was Red, securing first place with an impressive 477 points!
