WELCOME BACK TO OUR 2025 SCHOOL YEAR

And just like that, the holidays are over, and we’ve wrapped up our first week of Term 1!

It has been absolutely wonderful to welcome back our students, staff, and Eastie community. Seeing familiar faces reconnect and new friendships begin to form has been a joy. Our students have settled in brilliantly, diving straight into their learning with enthusiasm and excitement.

A special shout-out to our newest little Easties—our 2025 Preps! They have taken to school life like ducks to water, embracing their new routines with confidence. I can’t wait to watch them grow and thrive throughout their primary school journey—absolute superstars!

It was also fantastic to see so many families joining us on day one, helping to kick off the school year alongside their children. We love having our families involved in school life and look forward to seeing even more of you throughout the year.

A big welcome to our new families as well! We’re thrilled to have you join the best school in Echuca. If you spot a new face in the schoolyard, be sure to say hello, flash a big smile, and give them a warm Eastie welcome! 😊

FIRST ASSEMBLY

Next Friday, we’ll hold our first whole-school assembly, where we’ll celebrate our Students of the Week and officially announce our 2025 House Captains. All of our student leaders will also receive their badges—an exciting moment for them and our school! We’d love to see as many of you there as possible.

PARENT-TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Parent-teacher interviews for Grades 1-6 are scheduled for Wednesday, 12th February (Week 3). These 10-minute meetings are a great opportunity to connect with your child’s teacher, share any important insights about their learning style, and set the tone for a successful year.

Students will attend school as usual and take part in East Survivor on the day.

Appointments will be available to book in on Sentral this Monday the 3rd Feb - please log in to the Sentral app and book via the interview tile.

Our student management system or platform is Sentral, where you’ll find updates on events, permission forms, newsletters, assessments, and reports. If you’re not yet connected or need assistance, please reach out to Mel in the office.
