Students Leaving 2025
As we prepare for 2025, if your child is not returning to St Margaret Mary’s school in 2025, please send an email to stmargaretmarys@parra.catholic.edu.au . It is a government requirement that the school is informed of the new school the child will be attending.
Year six parents do not need to send an email.
StMM’s School Bags
The stock of school bags has arrived. All Kindergarten students are expected to have a StMM’s school bag. Any parent who needs to purchase a new school bag for the 2025 school is requested to purchase a StMM’s school bag for your child, please visit the school office to pick up a school bag. In 2026 it is an expectation that students will have a StMM’s school bag.
School Uniform
StMM’s has a school uniform that all students are expected to wear each day to school. Please ensure that the correct uniform is purchased for the 2025 school year. Below are the requirements of the uniform including sports shoes that need to be white and hair ties blue or black.
The correct uniform can be purchased only from Lowes and we also have a second hand uniform shop available on the school premises.
Please ensure all pieces of uniform are labelled with the child’s name.

Jewellery
Small stud/sleeper earrings and watches are acceptable, no other jewellery and smart watches are to be worn to school.
Make-up
Nail polish and make up is not to be worn.
Hair
Boys’ hair must be kept neat and tidy, no shorter than a number two cut. No longer than collar length.
Girls’ hair longer than collar length needs to be tied back with a blue or black hair tie/ribbon.
Changes to School Bus Routes
School bus service changes from 8 December
Bus timetables are changing, affecting many school routes across the region. Buses affected include routes: 7009, 7010, 7012, 7517, 7523, 9010, 9023, 9050, 9052, 9054, 9104, 9306, 9313, 9501, 9507, 9522, 9552, 9631, S115, S132, S173, S404, S412, S426, S514, S521, S523, S525, S532, S533, S536, S561, S567, S570, S581, S587, S589, S590, S598, S617, and S910.
We encourage all students to check timetables at https://transportnsw.info/routes/bus or use the Trip Planner at https://transportnsw.info/trip#/trip to check the times of the bus(es) they catch. Be sure to change the date in the options, and if using the Trip Planner, click “refine” and add “school bus” to ensure dedicated school services appear as a travel option.
