Celebrating Sport Success

We love celebrating our students sporting success. Congratulations to all the students who have competed at Zone Athletics carnivals over the past few weeks. Your resilience to compete in hot, rainy and stormy conditions is inspiring.

School Cross Country

Our school cross country will be held on March 21, 2025. Over the school holidays, it would be advisable if the students begin to train for the carnival. Students who are aged 8, 9 or 10 years need to be able to run 2km within 13 minutes. Students aged 11 and 12 years need to be able to run 3km within 18 minutes. More information will be given at the beginning of term one, 2025.

Expression of Interest Cumberland Zone Swimming Carnival

Over the course of our school swimming program at Auburn Swimming Pool, some students have been assessed as capable swimmers. 

Each year, we take a team of students to participate at the Cumberland Zone Swimming Carnival, which will be held on February 26, 2025 at Mt Druitt Swimming Centre. 

An expression of interest form for the 2025 Cumberland Zone Swimming Carnival has be emailed to these students' parents.  Students who would like to compete, are recommended to submit a time for their chosen stroke. Parents who have received the email, please respond via the form by January 24, 2025.

Students who are successfully chosen, based on their times as well as CSPD qualifying times will be notified at the start of the 2025 school year.

Team Sport Trials

Parramatta Diocesan Primary students enrolled in years five and six in 2025 are invited to complete a nomination to participate in the Parramatta Diocesan Team Sport Trials during Term Four in 2024 and 2025. Students in Year 4 in 2025 MAY nominate for the sports of Hockey, Softball, & Touch Football only. 

It is important to note that these trials are generally for those students that MUST demonstrate an ABOVE AVERAGE ability, HIGH LEVEL OF SKILL DEVELOPMENT, or in particular sports demonstrate REPRESENTATIVE playing experience in their nominated sport. In most sports, students should have experience playing regular competitions outside of school. 

To facilitate this, Parramatta Diocesan trials will be held in some sports and others through CSNSW Sport at the MacKillop level and nominations will be available through the CSNSW Sport portal in 2025:

Any questions regarding these trials should be directed to myself, through the school office or school email. Entries close on 7th February, no late entries will be accepted.
