Performing Arts Production

The next generation of Hollywood superstars have been plying their trade with Mr H as they prepare for the Grade 6 production of The Grinch.

Students have been running their lines, learning to project their voices and creating sets and props in anticipation of their star turn for the Grade 1s and 2s.

African Drumming

The Grade 6 students enjoyed a morning of rhythm with an African drumming session. Students used a Djembe (pronounced Jem-be), which comes from the saying "Anke dje, anke dje" which means "everyone gather together in peace". The djembe was not a performance instrument traditionally, but a means for every member of the village to participate and contribute to important occasions of the village, each in their own way.
