Year 2 Big Day Out 

On Monday, 2 December, our Year 2 students attended Oasis Camp in Mount Evelyn for a full day of fantastic activities. 

See below some stories from students about the day:

Yesterday was our Year 2 Camp Day Out.

First, I went to the Reptile House. There were so many interesting reptiles to look at!

Secondly, I went to the rock climbing wall. When it was my turn on the wall, I got three tries and I nearly went to the top each time.

Then, I did candle making. I started with blue then I did green, red, orange, yellow and purple.

Next, we did the flying fox. When it was my turn I did the Griddy!

Finally, I went to the games room. I played pool then did low ropes. When I did the course, I nearly did everything.

The camp was awesome. I can't wait for Year 3 camp!

"AHHHHHHHH!" That was the scream I did on the flying fox yesterday at camp for the day.  On the flying fox I was an aeroplane while running! At the end, we had to be a potato!

I also did candle making too. I made it swirly and rainbow.

How to make a candle.

1. Get a 10.5cm string.
2. Dip the string to about 9.5cm in wax for 3 seconds.
3. The dip the exact same amount of string into water for 3 seconds.
4. Keep doing it over and over until it is big enough.

All together we all had fun, and I can't wait for Year 3 camp!

Yesterday the Year two's  went to Oasis, Mt Evelyn to practice camp for Year 3. I was a Stingray. Firstly, when we got there, we had morning tea. For morning tea we had yummy lamingtons! Secondly, we had our first activity. The Stingrays did the flying fox. It was a little bit scary but I was brave. Thirdly, we had the low ropes. It was fun but some people got hurt. Luckily I didn't get hurt. Next we had lunch, and we had pizza! I had cheese pizza and ,margarita pizza. It was sooo delicious! Then we went to the reptile house. I got to feel 2 lizards and hold 1. After lunch, we went to the rock climbing wall. I went with Naomi. It was so fun but I did not get to the top. After that, we did candle making. I made a candle. It took a long time to make it. I got some wax on me so I had to go to a green box to get the wax off. For dinner, we had tacos. In my  2 tacos I had meat, cheese and lettuce. It was soooo yummy! After dinner, we had ice-cream! It was soooooooooo delicious! I had strawberry sauce and smarties and sprinkles. 

I thought it was the BEST day ever!
